The co-founder of the Commodores in 1967, Lionel Richie had his first taste of success after the group signed to Motown Records in 1971, producing hits including “Brick House,” “Easy,” “Three Times a Lady,” and “Sail On.” Richie released his self-titled debut in 1982 and went on to become one of the most successful singers of his time, with favorites such as “All Night Long,” “Hello,” “Dancing on the Ceiling,” and “Stuck on You.”
Richie’s latest album, “Just Go,” on which he works with three of today’s hottest hitmakers — Tricky Stewart & The Dream (Mariah Carey, Usher), Stargate (Ne-Yo, Shakira, Rihanna), and Akon — was released in the spring of 2009.
